What to include in a notice
A valid copyright notice should identify the copyrighted work, the exact URLs involved, the complaining party, and a statement made in good faith under penalty of perjury.
- A detailed description of the protected work
- Direct URLs for the material you want reviewed
- Your legal name and a working contact address
Counter notices
If material is removed by mistake, a counter notice should explain why the takedown was incorrect and include the sender information required by applicable law.
Repeat infringement
Accounts or submissions that repeatedly violate rights-holder requests may be limited or removed to protect the service and comply with operator policy.
Response flow
Complete notices are easier to process quickly. Sending direct URLs and accurate contact details reduces back-and-forth and helps the operator review the request faster.
